Don't know wether this is in the right section?

Anyway, with the rising cost of fuel prices, will this affect your decisions on how far you want to travel to go fishing, up untill recently i have said no, but now i'm changing my mind.

With prices now heading towards the £1.40p a litre, and said to be in the £1.50s by August, i think it's time for me to get realistic and think of alternative venues that are closer to home rather than very long distances for which fuel costs are getting ridiculous. ...

On most waters we all fish we see Carp jump clear out of the water and wondered if anyone can give reasons for this.

I know there are loads of theories and one of those is that the Carp do this to clean themselves, which is what I thought was the reason.

this last year i have been useing bread balls haired (white bit only). seem towork better in the winter than the summer. i use thick sliced bread cut into 5/6 fingers of bread. rolled into a ball and haired its a simple as that. the plus points are its cheap and easy to get ,but use only the best bread wrapped not the cheap nasty stuff. so far caught over 200 carp various sizes 2llbs to 17lbs. okay not exactly monsters but bread and butter sized fish (joke) on the minus side of things ...

I know the fishing over here is much different than the fishing over there, especially for carp. I got a taste of how hard the carp are to catch in Europe when I was stationed in Germany for 3 years, but I am curious about the carp fishing in England. Over here, nobody ever fishes for carp, and some of the lakes are absolutely brimming with carp that have never sen a hook, so they are very easy to get to bite. Usually, when I go out to my carp spot on lake Herman after work for 3-4 hours, ...

I am new to R&R but I do like to be a bit controversial (is this how it's spelt?) anyway after yesterdays trip with the TFAC I must admit to being a bit wound up by the use of carp alarms for a day fishing session. I don't use alarms during the day for two reasons. The constant beeps and pings as the wind blows or the fish swim into the line is annoying and secondly my bait runners make a lovely wizz noise as the fish takes of with my rig indicating a take. The one down side is drop backs ...

A husband, tired of his wife asking him how she looks, buys her a full length mirror. This does little to help, as now she just stands in front of the mirror, looking at herself, asking him how she looks. Uncharacteristically, her husband comes up with a suggestion. "If you want your breasts to grow, then every day take a piece of toilet paper and rub it between ...

What a big mistake, and waste of 2 hours that was. The main lake is across the road from where I was and about a 100 yard hike. After sitting in the slough for 2 hours, and watching carp swim all over my bait and ground bait without a bite, I decided to pack up all of my gear and make the trek to the ...

With a cold northerley wind for much of the week interspersed with sunshine, frost and a little rain we saw water temperatures remaining low and no real feeding pattern emerging. Their catch included a host of twenties and upper doubles plus 6 nice 30's up to 37lb. All the carp were in stunning condition, fin perfect and hard fighting. It appears that although a lot of carp were ...
